Hi, I’m Alex and I have recently qualified as a Fitness Coach and have almost qualified as a Personal Trainer. From a young age, football shaped my identity and I played at a high level for both my county and semi professional clubs. That was until a serious shoulder injury brought my footballing ambitions to a sudden halt, but what felt like a setback became a turning point. After eleven months of rehabilitation I was introduced to functional fitness and I quickly became captivated by the methods, techniques, and discipline required to become stronger and more resilient. That period not only changed my direction, it sparked a genuine passion for fitness.

My journey into Functional fitness  began almost by accident. After discovering an event online called HYROX , I signed myself up to partake without any specific preparation and completed it in 1:18. It was a humbling benchmark, but it ignited a fire and focus within me to pursue excellence within the sport. Eight months later, through consistent hard work and relentless commitment, I brought my men’s solo time down to 1:07 and have also achieved a 57 minute doubles time. These improvements have reinforced my belief in structured training, discipline, and the power of pushing beyond your comfort zone, anything you set your mind to is truly possible.

As a coach, I bring the same passion, drive, and curiosity that has fuelled my own progress. Although I am only new to coaching, I aim to provide a supportive, motivating, and enjoyable environment for every individual I work with. I want people to feel encouraged, challenged, and confident in their ability to grow both physically and mentally. Fitness should be empowering, and I believe the best results come when people feel happy, inspired, and connected.

With a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and my Level 3 Personal Trainer certification on the way, I’m committed to continual learning and development. My aim is to help each member not only hit personal goals but to become part of a community where everyone is striving forward as one. When you step into this gym, you’ll be supported every step of the way, and together we’ll build the foundations for long term health, performance, and confidence.

My turning point was when I got seriously injured while playing football. Through rehab I found functional fitness and this had given me a completely new outlook on life as a whole.
My passion and purpose is to become great at whatever I’m doing. I’m passionate to help all people whether that be individuals chasing performance or happiness through health and fitness.
