My story is one of resilience through loss, struggle, and growth.
At the age of 13, I lost both my mother and my brother. My mum had been my sole carer, so following their passing I moved to live with my father and his family. At such a young age, I struggled to understand why they had been taken from me, and those unanswered questions shaped a deeply challenging childhood.
Football became my escape. I poured all my energy into the game and reached a high competitive level, where I learned invaluable lessons in discipline, fitness, nutrition, and recovery. These years laid the foundation for my understanding of performance, both physically and mentally.
In 2012, I was approached by MTV to appear on a reality TV show, which led to a turbulent career in television and media. While it brought opportunities, it also came with instability. In 2017, after losing my father, I reached rock bottom. I was battling alcohol and substance abuse, my health declined, and my weight increased to 120kg. I had completely lost sight of who I was.
That moment became a turning point. I made a promise to return to what had always grounded me — fitness — and to rebuild my life from the inside out.
Since then, everything has changed. I am now a proud father to a beautiful little girl who is my world. I transformed myself into the athlete I always knew I could be — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. Today, I am a recognised competitive athlete and a firm figure within the HYROX Elite 15, a testament to discipline, consistency, and a refusal to give up, regardless of how difficult the journey has been.
With the opening of Storm Performance, my mission is clear: to use the hard-earned lessons and knowledge I’ve gained to help others. I want to show people that no matter how far you fall, it is always possible to rebuild, find purpose, and become stronger than ever.
The true turning point came when I reached rock bottom and realised that nobody was coming to save me. Having lost both of my parents, it became a moment of fight or flight — and I chose to fight. I committed to becoming the man and son they deserved.
The journey since then has not been smooth, nor perfect, but it has been honest and earned. Every step forward has been built through discipline, accountability, and resilience. I believe I have made them proud, and I will continue to live in a way that honours them.
My passion for coaching comes from lived experience. I have lived through profound bereavement, addiction, and the feeling of having no direction or hope. I know what it is like to feel lost, to struggle mentally and physically, and to believe that change is impossible.
Reaching rock bottom forced me to take responsibility for my own life. No one was coming to save me, and I made the decision to fight — to rebuild myself through discipline, fitness, and structure. Through that process, I transformed not only my body, but my mindset, habits, and identity, ultimately becoming an elite competitive athlete.
Coaching allows me to serve people who may be where I once was.
My goal is to help others find a path forward, develop self-belief, and build sustainable habits that change their lives long-term. If I can help someone shift their mindset, break destructive patterns, and realise their own potential, then my journey has meaning beyond myself.
I don’t promise perfection — I teach progress, resilience, and consistency. I am committed to helping others become stronger, healthier, and more confident, no matter where they are starting from.
